Youth Apprenticeship Project

Youth Working to Make a Difference! The West Side Youth Apprenticeship Project (YAP) is a youth employment initiative that offers meaningful summer work experiences for teens that either live or attend school on the West Side.

30 jobs with many West Side organizations, businesses, and youth-focused organizations are available for teens to explore their future career goals and become connected to the West Side . More than just a job, teens will grow their leadership skills by being mentored and coached as they gain valuable workplace experiences. Each employment site will have a mentor that will work with apprentices to develop their full potential. In addition, a weekly staff meeting with a coach and apprentices will connect their work experiences with the West Side community and their own futures.

Become a Youth Apprentice and be a leader in your community and future career!
